This BCRPA approved course taught by Dr. Allison Rees goes beyond parenting to get to the root of good communication, a crucial ingredient for success in both the workplace and family. Dr. Rees will guide participants through the three major components of effective communication, enabling more meaningful and productive day to day interactions. Learn how to communicate in a way that provides a safe and supportive framework to give and receive feedback. Being able to communicate in such a way minimises conflict and allows for more information to be conveyed. Effective communication allows people to get results and make meaningful decisions. This skill will deepen connections with other people and have a powerful impact on every relationship in your life. Learn how to view conflict in a positive light and avoid getting stuck in the negative cycle. When we learn how to jump out of defensive responses, we have healthy conflict which allows people to be different and creative and take positive action. Participants who complete this course will learn how to identify difficult behaviours and deal with them effectively while keeping themselves safe and comfortable. Upon completion of this course, participants will have all the tools needed to successfully navigate conflict in both home and the workplace and be able to communicate in an effective manor, which deepens relationships and gets results.
